A Work In Progress
“May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us – yes, establish the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:17
You may have noticed how different and chaotic this blog looks right now! My dad and I have been working on switching web hosts, so things are pretty crazy here. With all the changes, though, brings good news! Soon, there will be more than just a theme change going on over here…a full blog revamp is coming! The name will be changed, a shop will be set up, the whole shebang. I’m so excited, and I hope you’ll keep checking in because the changes will [hopefully] be coming before the end of spring.
Something I’ve already learned, even this early in the process, is that doing things slowly and patiently is not a bad thing. A few months, or even a few weeks, ago, I would’ve wanted to throw myself into this project, holding nothing back. While I still want to dedicate myself to my work, giving it quality and integrity, I can’t possibly expect to be able to DO IT ALL. So, as I’m thinking and praying and hoping and dreaming through this, I’m moving slow. I want to be absolutely sure that I am letting God be the one to establish me, my life, and my business. There’ll be time enough for the chaos and craziness, so why rush it?

My theme verse.
My attempts at a schedule! Ha. You’ll notice that two of my weekdays are most definitely “full” while the other ones I’m just barely fitting things in.
A quote by Grace Bonney over at Design*Sponge. She was interviewed for the book Blog, Inc. by Joy Cho. Even though Grace is now a very successful blogger and designer, she goes back to her roots as she makes this statement: “I’m someone who has opinions and beliefs, and it’s not worth it to compromise [those beliefs] if it doesn’t feel authentic.” That’s the mindset I want to have through these changes. Whether my business succeeds or not, my focus is still on being an authentic writer, with honesty and integrity.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-25
