Sarah and I had a great time this weekend celebrating not only Independence Day, but Ella’s birthday as well! Ella is Petra’s sister, and we are so blessed to be able to hang out and enjoy each other this weekend. A ton of beautiful photos came out of it. Please note that though the photos are watermarked for my site (because this site is where they are located), they were taken by one of all four of us: me, Sarah, Ella, or Petra. It was completely a group collaboration so I am in no way taking full credit for the photos. Without further ado, here they are!
The birthday girl! I love Ella’s sweet smile and even sweeter heart.
The detail in this one is great. Ella is wise beyond her years.
Her perfect laugh.
Ella-gant. I know, I know, our puns are failing.
Sarah has my camera around her neck, which scares me a little bit.
They go together so well. 🙂
Friends. *sighs* So sweet.
Not nearly so sweet. But still hilarious. Petra and I were laughing pretty darn hard at these bloopers. 😀
This represents us pretty well. 😛
Keepin’ it real, guys.
“Now we have this treasure in jars of clay, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7
This was Ella’s idea, but Petra is the model. 😀 I love it!
“God is within her, she will not fall; He will help her at the break of day.” Psalm 46:5
One girl’s raggedy sunhat is another girl’s superb photo prop. 😀
Petra took this one of me in front of a garage door we used as a muted background.
When I see this photo, I see me. I’m learning that these photos, these snippets of life, are making who I am and are showing me the Father’s love and glory. How does He do this through something as simple and silly as a camera?!
I wouldn’t change these moments or these friendships for the whole world.
Lighting up the dark night with sparklers.
I’ve been wanting to try this for a little while, and I’m pleased to say it works really well! Sparkler photos are honestly less about the actual photography settings and more about how good you are at holding a sparkler steady. 🙂
I think you can tell what this is, but just in case, it’s U.S.A. Happy 4th, everyone!
My cursive version of U.S.A.
Toesies in the sparkly light.
